Nice one Dave! You got some nice detail in the galaxy and the stars look good too.
I too have been slacking horribly. I've been out a few times for visual fun but very little imaging. And the images I have taken are sitting unprocessed on the computer
I'm dying to get out and give Mars a go this season. Clear sky clock says super clear tonight, but seeing is solid WHITE! And temp is predicted to be around zero. So... I probably wont go out tonight. Unless the seeing is really good it's just not worth the pain and effort.
Thanks Ron! I'e had very little time for this stuff, it felt good to get a new image done! I took some GRS transit shots in mid-september that I need to process also.
I got out for some Jupiter shots in early September and just got around to processing the data! I was using my NexImage camera on Jupiter for the first time. The results were far better than anything I have managed previously. It's nothing special compared with many of the amateur results out there, but it's a personal best so I'm very pleased. I got twenty shots over the course of about an hour while Io and it's shadow were transiting.
