Thank you all for your input and well wishes!

Ron the card is great, I need to learn how to do things like that too.

It won't be long until we begin the countdown to a new year and I wish for everyone to have a great 2013 with lots of observing time!

On 12-12-2012 I made me 100 days of being logged in to the ASO forums, a nice milestone to have!

Wonder how long it will take me to reach a year!  rolleyes

Though I am not afraid of heights I am not sure anyone would ever get me in the sky like that!  rolleyes

I personally do not own one nor have I even looked through one but....folks on the various groups I belong to have reported exceptional views. We were made with two eyes and I believe there was a reason for that from everything to hunting and gathering to observing but that is just IMHO. What you need to keep in mind is that your eyepiece collection will need to be twice as large and better, i.e. more costly, eyepieces will have better viewing. That being said folks who report on seeing through them state that the views are more in depth.....again two eyes.

Binoviewers are most likely like anything else, good ones and bad ones and not necessarily based on cost. I would recommend you find your self a few online groups who have members who own them and are willing to report their experiences, or better yet find a local club and find members there who would sit down and discuss binoviewers, or let you try one or two out for yourself.

Wow, you mean I should not have cut off the last ten days of this year from my wall calendar!!!  wink

I have kept an eye on the list of potentially hazardous encounters and it does in deed look like we will have move visitors in the next few years!

As we approach the end of 2012 and possible time, if the Maya civilization were correct, I will be marking a milestone here at ASO. At the present I am at 97+ days of logged in time on the boards and will make 100 shortly. I have greatly enjoyed my time here and feel blessed to converse with our members and even sometimes help out just a bit.

As the Christmas holiday season approaches I would like to wish everyone where ever they are peace, prosperity and the restoration of good will to all mankind.....Lord knows we need it!
23  Misc. Other Forums / General Discussion / Happy Thanksgiving! on: November 21, 2012, 10:49:13 PM
With all the negative things going on in the world I personally just wanted to take up a few lines to wish America a Happy Thanksgiving.

To all my friends here at ASO, I wish you the same and suggest you keep the antacid close!

Hi Dave,

Thanks for posting this!

I have the ability and know how to repair a spare handbox I have, I only wish I had the tools here at home to repair my front control panel board!  cry

If I were still among the gainfully employed I would have access to the tools needed to repair electronics but alas when I retired those were not among the tools they let me take home.

Your sharing your knowledge and experience is what makes ASO a great place to hang out!

Ron,

For the sake of pointing out the obvious while you are at the Add-ons Manager you might also want to click the link above them, "Check to see if your plugins are up to date".

Ron,

Lets hope that the problem is/has been taken care of.

Keith,

I was able to upgrade my 'dumb' phone to an iPhone 4 through my provider, Verizon, for free so I downloaded your app. When I master this new phone a little more I will definitely dig into how to use this app! The older I get the harder I find it to learn new technology but fortunately I have two sons and a daughter in law so I can text the daylights out of them for tips!  rolleyes

Ron,

I was on the road yesterday heading back home so I'm a bit late in replying.

A few years ago when I was running AVG Free I had a very similar problem trying to remove it. I finally found a web site with good directions and suggestions for doing that. Though I am not totally sure I remember which site I used I think it was this one;

Ron,

I did a quick search within the Firefox help section since you said that is your browser too.

Hopefully we can squash this bug quickly before I head back home this coming Saturday.

Ron,

If you have all of your passwords memorized or written down you might want to delete the complete history in Firefox, or at least clean out the cookies.
