Awesome job, Ted!   You did a great job processing...just a pleasing overall image!

Very Cool, Jean-Yves!  Good to see you still at it!

Really nice image, Ted!   Blooms are a real pain, and you did a great job dealing with them.  Looks like focus was a tad soft...that can be next year's shot grin

Cool pics, Ron...seeing the phases like that always brings the reality of the planet dynamics home to me...

Thanks for sharing!

Great work, Ted!!!   Glad to see someone is having a few clear skies!

Ron,

I'll have -far- more information for you on this one...I'm one of the testers for it.  On paper, it should beat the DSI by a bit...we'll see it it translates to the sky, though Smiley

"Live" is all relative...Most would consider "Live" video to be 15 frames/sec.  Even if the DSI could do that, you wouldn't see much of anything.  If you did 1 frame every 5 sec, you may see a noisy fuzz blob, possibly with a hint of structure depending on your f/ratio.  30 seconds to a minute, you'll get some color and structure.  1-2 minutes, you're looking pretty good.

Is 1 frame every 30 seconds "Live"?   Well, it's better than film for sure.  It's all a matter of semantics, I guess.

Hey, Nice one!

Impressive for only 10 minutes!

Really nice one, Craig!

I'm amazed at the amount of red for a 10D.

Excellent processing as well.

Looks promising!   Again, the colors are a bit off, but the detail's not bad...Seeing can be a huge influence at this image scale, so you may not have been able to get much better.

Dave,

Looks like you've captured some great data there.  I feel for you on the filters for the Pro...They just aren't right.  May want to call Meade about them and see if they can't provide a new set or something...let me know if you need some backup.

The detail you were able to get is great!   Good work!

Thanks, Guys...I really enjoyed this one.  I feel like I'm cheating with this setup...a pleasure to use!

Yes, I think registax is still the favorite, and also k3ccdtools.

The vertical line is an artifact of the CCD...streaks from a few bad pixels.  I thought I removed it, but I see I must not have...

Finally had a clear night to play with my 140 and St-10XME...Here's the
fruits of last night.  Check out the link for a full size image...lots of galaxies to see!
