Newbie question

Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this question, but ....
I have the DSI Pro (black and white), and 3 CCD filters.
When I collect images using each of the three filters, the resulting images are still black and white. How do I get the 3 filtered images to merge together, so I can see a color picture ? I'm very fluent with photoshop, so please tell me what I'm missing ?
Thanks
Dave
