The South Arkansas Astronomical Society will be holding a star party for this event.
It will be located at the Junction City Park located in Junction City, Arkansas.
The Park is located in front of the Football stadium on highway 167 S.
If anyone wants to attend and/or bring a scope feel free to drop a line to

Jarrod,
Thanks for the heads-up about Sidewalk Astronomy Day (Night). This fact may have
gotten past a couple of my contacts.

Jerrod,
Welcome to the group
There are several other members from Arkansas but I'm not sure of their exact location.
Thanks for the link to the International Sidewalk Astronomy. The club I belong to does side walk Astronomy every month but I don't know if they have joined the International group or not. I'll have to check.

Thanks for the warm welcome.
I am located in South Arkansas near the Louisiana line.I am a member of several astronomy organizations and I also dabble in radio astronomy (radio jove).
I own two dobs a 12 ' ' and 4 1/2 ' ' Orions, and a giant pair of binoc's. I started a club called the South Arkansas Astronomical Society that
has a handfull of members. We put on informational classes at local schools on astronomy ( anything space related really).
I have instructed classes from subjects varying from the mars rovers to meteorites, all the way up to beginning astrophysics.
Astronomy,Radio Astronomy,Astrophysics has been a hobby of mine for years
again thanks for the warm welcome
a hope for Clear Skies.
