Ted,

Great job!

It still amazes me how you can put everything together from images taken on different days and different conditions shocked

Your hard work and putting everything together certainly paid off as this image shows.

Thanks for sharing,

Ron

Thanks for commenting Ron!
Not only _can_ you, it's a must! It's near impossible to get 5 hours of lunimance data and 3 hours of color in just one night, and that's what it takes to get enough signal. In this case I had a lot of noise from the moon but the amount of data I got let me screen that out and still have enough signal to stretch and sharpen.

Teddy boy,

10' subs?!?!?! I'm truly impressed. I've seen your mount and would not have thought you could pull that off with a wedge at that focal length. You've been working that beast hard.

My only critique would be to find a way to make the biggest stars smaller so they don't distract from the wicked cool galaxies (is that New England enough for ya?).

Way to go!

Thanks for the feedback Dave!
You are right about those big stars. This star bloat is a signal of additional mount issues at the long (for me) exposure times.
They can be taken care of electronically. I like your suggestion, I'll trim them down and re-post. Go Sox.

Here's the updated image with smaller stars, thanks again for the feedback Dave.

Ted,

I like that much better. The stars don't overwhelm the fuzzies this way. Great job!
