NASA LRO TO CRASH INTO MOON

This is some crazy stuff......I had to share. A coworker of mine, her father worked on the Centaur rocket that launched the LRO/LCROSS into space. On October 9th, at a time to be determined, the LRO will separate from the LCROSS and plunge into the surface of the moon, with the LCROSS following behind. The purpose is to kick up a plume from the impact, so that the LCROSS will analize particles from the plume, looking for water. Supposedly, this will be visible from Earth.  The impact zone is yet to be determined, but I will post when it is decided. I have a full press kit in email form, if anyone is interested, messge me with your email address and I'll forward it to you. This will be an excellent photo opportunity.
