Toutatis And Friends!---?

Back from a brief vacation to the west I wanted a comet but after finding the asteroid Toutatis, I became fixed on a FOV of 74 X 56 arc-min. Toutatis is clearly visible moving as the bright spot in the center of the image. After creating the small animated giff I found a smaller companion to the right and a bit lower moving in the same general motion. Looking at this my wife ask what the object in the upper left hand corner was and once again I had no answer but it is there and moving fast. After an attempt to match up the objects with Guide8 I still can't say what the other two objects are but it is pretty kool to have three objects moving in the same FOV. Thanks, Mike H.

That's pretty cool, Mike! What are the odds, huh....
It is interesting that the other two are moving in the same direction..I wonder if the smaller one is a broken off piece of Toutatis?

Hey Mike, that is really great getting three rocks moving in the same frame! What was the date and time you imaged this? I'll bet with the MPCORB database, I could find out what the other two are. Let me know and I'll have a look.
Good Work!

Mike,
That's really some neat and interesting stuff!!
It looks like it would really take a keen eye to pick out the things that are moving.
I had to look long and hard before I found the three objects I thought were the ones that were moving?
Thanks for sharing,
Ron

Thanks guys. I have reworked the same images to try and make sure there is what appears to be on the frames. The top left corner is not something I would bet any money on. It is just too bright and in my opinion is an artifact of some kind. Toutatis is close to where it should be and to the right is another object which is there and could be The asteroid Erynia (889). There are other known objects in the FOV but should be too dim for me to capture or the movement is too slow to detect in 25 minutes. The first image was taken at 09/19/2004 - 0322UT - N is up. Mike
