There are 2 new comets visible before midnight, comet C/2010 G2 Hill and P/2006 T1 Levy. Hill is reported to be mag +10 and Levy seems to
be +11 or greater depending on the report you see. I am ready to check both out as soon as the weather clears.

James,

I haven't tried either one of those yet, but was contemplating trying for Levy during Thanksgiving weekend but I hadn't seen any good reports so I decided against trying.

I'm pretty sure I won't be able to see a Comet at 10+ mag but I might try with my camera cheesy

Note that the Levy comet not up to anticipated brightness and is virtually lost at this time; on the other hand, NOTE that the designation for the other one is:
2010 G2 (Hill), NOT 2011 G2 Hill.

It is a very nice come that is visible in moderate telescope during early evening hours, setting about 1 a.m. local time.
