Alt/Az animations

I took 10 image that expand a time frame of approximately 17 minutes and made an animation to see if I could detect the movement of the Comet. I can see the movement of the Comet but the star rotation due to the Alt/Az mount made it difficult to put together.
Has anyone tried to put together an animation of frames made in Alt/Az and if so what method can be used to line up each frame?
Any suggestions or ideas or should I forget the whole mess
?

Thats very cool Ron! How long were individual exposures? Maybe if you kept them to 30 seconds rotation would not be a problem? But I'm just guessing.
Nice job anyway I can see the comet motion,

Thanks Craig,
The exposures were 30 seconds each.
I didn't realize how much the Comet had moved until I noticed in my stacking that the Comet and the stars were getting further apart. Duhhh
I learn something new everyday in my crazy imaging and editing techniques
So then I decided to try and make the animation since I could see so much seperation in the Comet and stars.

Ron, I would forget the whole mess
Just kidding!!
That is a really nice animation and I can see the comet movement too. Looks like the only thing that messed it up is the field rotation.
I think the *new* version of registax has a feature that will correct the rotation when it stacks the images called "Rotate"?? I haven't tried that since I only do planets and usually don't have field rotation with my GEM. Maybe that feature is for something else, but I just assumed it was for this purpose.
I'm sure some other experts know of an easy way to do this with some other software too.

Thanks Brian,
I just got the animation program and really don't under stand how to use it yet so I have just been playing around with it.
Maybe I'll work on this one a little more and try to smooth it out a little

I think this one is a little smoother but still needs plenty of work. I know there must be a way to line up each frame but I haven't got that far with the program yet
17 minutes total time from start to finish.
