Here is what I have been up to for the last week.  My daughter was showing her horse all week long at the County fair.  She kicked some real bootie this year.  First overall in Showmanship.  First overall in equitation, and High point leader in performance.  to top it all off out of the 100+ participants she was one of 11 picked to go and compete at the state competition next month!!!  To top it all off this is the first year with the new horse.  She outgrew her first horse which she got 5 years ago as a green horse, only halter broke and never saddled.  She not only broke it in herself but trained it as well.  She grew to tall and had to start over with another horse.  What a year it was...

Needless to say we are all really pumped.

Some pics.

Wow that's great Brian! She's got a great hobby that she loves and has spent a lot of time and effort becoming really good at, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree does it!

I thought there was a new source of light from your neck of the woods. Now I know it's just the beaming of proud papa.  Cheesy
Kids sure can make us look good, can't they?

Congratulations!

Brian,

Congratulations to you and your daughter!

I know you have to be mighty proud parents!

If she trained and broke the horse herself, maybe she's going to be the next "Horse Whisperer"!

Brian,

Thats fantastic! Congrats to the Proud daddy and your talented daughter. Thats quite an accomplishment.

I don't know squat about horses except that they are big! Keep us posted on her progress. Are the Olympics a dream of hers?

Brian,

Be sure to tell her that we are ALL (here at the forums) proud of what she as attained.  I'm sure you must be about to burst with pride, and for good reason too!
