night sky friendly lighting

Hi all,
I have an opportunity to influenc my new neighbor's choice of lighting. He is going to be replacing an existing post lamp and installing motion activated spots on his garage. He is open to what we call good lighting so I'm looking for information about where I can find shielded spots and a post lamp that is shielded as well. Anybody got any good references? I don't think mail order is going to be an easy sell, but I'm willing to give it a try.
Thanks,
Dave

Dave,
A man from this organization, IDA, gave a talk at our Astronomy Club's meeting last week and said Home Depot and Lowes were carrying some of these products.

Really? I've never seen anything remotely dark sky friendly at the local Lowe's or Home Depot. I'll have to check again.
Thanks,
Dave
