Orion Star Shoot Deep Space Color Imager

Hi,
Does anyone have any information on the new " Orion Star Deep Space Color Imager"?
Pros & cons?
Here is a link to the information:
http://www.telescope.com/shopping/product/detailmain.jsp?itemID=130820&itemType=PRODUCT&RS=1&keyword=52065
I know its new and prpbably hasen't been out very long but I'm sure people with more technical savy than me would be a better judge of the camera and its capabilities.
Thanks for any input,
Ron

Hi Ron,
Looks good to me, similar to the Meade imager.
Good for planets, clusters and bright objects.
I am not so sure about galaxies or dim objects ... although you will find fantastic images on the net taken with simple webcams ... so I would not be surprised to see very nice images taken with this Orion camera.
Cheers

Ron,
I'll have -far- more information for you on this one...I'm one of the testers for it. On paper, it should beat the DSI by a bit...we'll see it it translates to the sky, though

Rick,
Couldn't be tested in better hands.
Can't wait for the results and the report.
Thanks,
Ron

Very true, Ron, I agree!
I haven't been much of a moderator laterly but then I've been very busy getting a new home set up, making trips back to Michigan for my youngest son's wedding in May. The wife and I were back up there again last month for their birthdays (both in September) when our oldest let us know that he is now getting married on the 22nd of this month so there is yet another trip back to be made.
After all of this I hope to be able to settle in here for the winter and be a little more pro-active!
